inIP is a simple and affordable Intellectual Property records software application, specifically designed with independent Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys as well as IP firms, lawyers and in-house professionals in mind. inIP allows you to reliably manage an unlimited number of case records and docket multiple internal, external and renewal deadlines of Patent, Trademark, Registered Design and other case types in your portfolio.


The inIP case management system has been developed in the UK by Patent Attorneys with over 40 years of experience, in order to provide a simple yet effective solution to the needs of IP professionals and businesses that do not wish to invest in the considerable expense and complexity of some of the traditional offerings especially at the start up stage. Head over to the pricing page for details of our plans, which are all of unlimited duration, so the price you see is all you will ever pay regardless of how many case records you have. There are no on-going subscription fees or further costs.

The system allows you to enter internal and external deadlines* against each case record and to assign those deadlines to a particular person in your organisation. A chronological prompt list of diary deadlines for each person provides a indication of the outstanding workflow tasks. The prompt list also has convenient links to open the records and folder for each case. You can also generate blank emails directly from each case that are pre-populated with case data headings and the recipient's details.

*inIP is not designed to calculate deadlines and relies on the user to input relevant official (external) deadlines, internal (reminder / check) deadlines and renewals.

Software Requirements

inIP is Microsoft Access based and the only software that you’ll need (if you do not have the full version of Access that is supplied with Microsoft Office or Office 365) is Microsoft Access 2016 Runtime that is freely available and is distributed with our application.

Hardware Requirements

The single user licence allows inIP to be run on one stand-alone PC. The unlimited user licence allows multiple users to access the same data on any drive or PC on a local network. Both the single and unlimited licences last in perpetuity without the worry of on-going costs.

We are currently planning a version which runs with the data residing on SharePoint and a version which runs in a Windows 365 remote desktop environment. We envisage that these will be released towards the end of 2023.

Software Customisation

We appreciate that many users will have different requirements of their records software but we have designed our application with the most common needs in mind. However, should you find that things aren’t quite the way that you’d like them or if additional functionality is required, our engineers can easily tailor the package to your liking at a surprisingly affordable cost.


Our development pricing offers the possibility of reduced costs if we deem that your needs would enhance our software for other clients.

The application is incredibly easy to set up but we can assist you with that if needed.
